Caution
A few things to be aware of:
- The battery will last for approximately two show or four hours of use. If you are not sure how long the battery was last used for, then change it for a new one.
- It is important to ensure that a new battery if fitted with the correct polarity, otherwise the unit could be damaged.
- Both the antennae lead and the microphone are quite delicate. Fit them carefully to the performer, observing the following:
- The antennae lead should hang down as straight as possible and not be curled or round up
- The microphone lead must never be coiled tightly or tied in a knot to hide surplus lead. Instead fold the lead carefully either around the battery pack or coiled loosely and tucked into an inside pocket or down a trouser leg.
- Find out and be aware of what sort of movements the performer will undertake. For instance if they might do a cartwheel, then the battery pack must be securely fastened to the performer's body or to a tight fitting belt.
