What Is It?

It's a calendar showing the events in the theatre over the coming week.

Where Is It?

The clue is in the picture (i.e. it's opposite the ladders). Physically, it's displayed on the large 42" TV monitor which is flying from the girder in the workshop area behind the stage. This may occasionally need to be moved if a set construction demands. This is the monitor that has been used on stage during a panto as the magic mirror and which was damaged by a pyro close by. A 1 tonne beam clamp is in place above it to aid with its removal. The data is in a Google calendar (ThameTheatreTechnical) and displayed via a Dakboard. The process is controlled from a Raspberry Pi Zero W which can be found behind the show relay television.

Is There A Remote Control?

Yes. There is a remote control to switch the TV on/off. It is kept on the same wall as the TV, to it's right, above the props table. Please ensure that the TV is left on MUTE to avoid any unexpected hiss.

What Does It Do?

It simply displays events which are on in the building over the next week. If a day has no events, that day is simply omitted allowing space for another day to be shown.
